Haringey Learning Partnership has launched a fundraiser to help its Year 11 cohort take part in an overseas enrichment trip to Egypt.
The Alternative Provision hub, known as HLP, hopes the journey will broaden pupils’ horizons after a run of European trips made possible through previous fundraising. Haringey Council announced the appeal on May 28, 2026, saying the school wants to build on its enrichment and personal development offer for pupils who learn outside mainstream provision.
Alternative Provision pupils aiming beyond Europe
HLP supports young people in Haringey through Alternative Provision, where education is shaped around students who may need a different setting from a mainstream school.
For this year’s Year 11 cohort, the proposed Egypt trip is being framed as a chance to experience a new culture, travel further than previous groups and take part in learning beyond the classroom.
The council described the trip as an inspirational and life-affirming opportunity for the group, while asking local residents and supporters to help make it possible.

Fundraising follows three years of school trips
HLP first turned its ambition of taking students abroad into reality through fundraising in 2022. Since then, pupils have travelled to France in 2023, Spain in 2024 and Germany in 2025.
The planned Egypt visit would take the programme beyond Europe for the first time, adding another stage to HLP’s enrichment work with older pupils.
How residents can help the Year 11 cohort
The appeal is open now through HLP’s JustGiving page. Donations are intended to support the pupils’ overseas trip and help the school extend the kind of experiences that many students may not otherwise access.
Anyone seeking more information or wishing to donate should use the JustGiving appeal linked by Haringey Council in its public notice.
