Redbridge regeneration pitch targets homes and jobs

Redbridge Council used UKREiiF 2026 to pitch the borough’s regeneration and investment plans to developers, investors and government partners, with Ilford and Elizabeth Line-linked sites placed at the centre of its offer.

The council said its delegation attended the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum to promote the Invest Redbridge Prospectus, build commercial relationships and test market views on funding, delivery and viability.

Ilford and Elizabeth Line sites in focus

The council’s pitch centred on Redbridge’s position in east London and the transport access created by the Elizabeth Line, which runs through the borough. Ilford was highlighted as a key regeneration location, alongside wider opportunities along the route.

Redbridge said UKREiiF brought together more than 16,000 leaders from national and local government, investors, developers and built environment organisations. The council delegation included Chief Executive Claire Hamilton, Executive Director of Place, Communities and Enterprise Steve Moore, and senior regeneration officers.

Council leader Kam Rai said Redbridge represented one of London’s remaining opportunities for large-scale investment as growth continues eastwards. He said the council had held positive conversations at the conference and wanted to progress discussions with partners aligned with its plans.

Investor follow-up meetings planned

The council has not announced a signed deal or confirmed scheme from the event. Its stated next step is to hold follow-up meetings with developers, investors and strategic partners about opportunities discussed at UKREiiF 2026.

Officials said information gathered at the forum will be used to refine the borough’s investment narrative and shape future engagement with the market.

A further milestone is planned for October 2026, when the Redbridge Investor Forum is expected to bring senior development and investment figures together to review the borough’s regeneration pipeline.

Hamilton said the level of interest from investors and development partners showed confidence in Redbridge’s future, adding that the council intended to build on the conversations started at UKREiiF.
